In a slightly worrying parallel to Athens 2004, preparations for the 2004 Intermicronational Olympic Games have yet to get underway following the apparent collapse of the original host nation, Gabilonia.

Following an urgent appeal from founder President Kevin Baugh of Molossia last week, only two responses have been received.

The first was from King Bryan of Mahina, who expressed willingness to create and maintain a website, but said his nation did not have the time to supervise online actvities.

The second was from Scott Siskind, Exterior Minister of Shireroth, where the government has been considering the possiblity of hosting the games, or even jointly hosting them with other nations such as Babkha and Baracao.

The chances are that an arrangement for joint hosting will emerge, in order to best cope with time zones and personal commitments during the Games, which are due to take place in August.
