The Landsraad of Shireroth is currently debating whether to impose restrictions on citizenship following a proposal by Kaiser Letifer I to counteract what he sees as a cause of the current state of the nation, that being a shortage of active and loyal people.

A ban on multiple citizenships was first introduced after Shireroth's original foundation. However, many contemporary Shirerothians have been against the idea as most are citizens of at least one other micronation.

The proposal has already being watered-down from the initial draft, but experts say it is still unlikely to pass when put to the vote.
