You used just too many abbreviations for a simple blockhead like me, I suppose ;)

I see that the Pacarians are now actively seeking an automated bank (at the very least) to bypass the problems involved with a manually operated economy.

Uhm... yeah...

GIBS dev diary entry one: If you log your errors into SQL, don't call your error-logging functions from the functions that do SQL stuff. Causes a nasty recursion...

Dev diary entry two: SQL server is acting up. Says I have a syntax error even though copying the very query text and feeding it through the command-line mysql client works quite well... I need more coffee. Or would need if I ever drank any of the stuff.

Ohh yeah. Forget that it shouldn't have a semicolon. If at first you don't succeed, debug, debug again.

GRRRRRRRRRRR

our server admin has just banned phpMyAdmin from the servers... if we don't find another server all the work on our automated bank project will be lost.

try to find a free shell somewhere on the internet...like this one:

www.polarhome.com/

I believe they offer PHP and mySQL, but its only an ftp site with 20 megs, not a real shell.

Hmm... I think I'll buy a shell account at Polarhome... if I get around to it :) . Not that I'd really need one, though, since my development environment is the same to the level of distro (not to the level of version, though) so I will only need to move files around to make things run. I got an ftp account on their Debian server (Debian r0x0r!) and will populate it with a "coming soon" page tomorrow... until that... I will write some PHP code that uses MySQL on a laptop that has neither a PHP executable nor a MySQL server :) .

anyhow, We're having trouble with the economic CP right now as it is not yet decided how our economy will look like when it is "re-launched". or thawed, if you want :p
