Today is Sunday, July 21, 2002, and I welcome you back to the Intermicronational Currency Exchange Organization, the ICEO. You are receiving this because your nation is a part of the ICEO. The following nations are a part of the ICEO: United Baronies of Treesia, Kingdom of Babkha, United Republic of Tymaria, Micronation of Pacary, Imperial Republic of Shireroth, the Republic of Baracão, and the Commonwealth of Interland. If you wish to be taken off this list, or if you wish to be added onto this list, you may contact me at bgrocerno1@aol.com.

For seven months, the ICEO has been inactive, and I regret that this has happened. During those seven months, I have come up with some new ideas for the ICEO, and have updated things that today no longer are adequate nor accurate. First,

The economic currency formula has been revised. The formula longest in force was version 5.23. In late November of 2001, a proposed version 6 was presented, but this version never went into effect. Version 6 included many new ideas, and thus contained more variables. Not including inflation, version 6 had 20 variables, while version 5.23 had only 12. Because version 6 was planned to go into effect, though never did, I have decided that, instead of revising 5.23 and calling it 6, it would be better simply to include the version 6 that never went into effect as an official formula of the ICEO, and name the new formula version 7. Second,

The ICEO will be more structured. That is, I plan to make the ICEO a more formal organization, including a set of standards and rules. Also, I would like to establish some sort of council of member-nations. Right now, I don't have any concrete ideas yet, but I want to have the member-nations have more of a say in how things are run. Third,

The ICEO should become micronational economic organization. What I mean is to make the ICEO encompass more things than just currency. The main purpose of the ICEO currently is to allow for the exchange of currency; other portions of micronational economics are not covered by the ICEO. However, I think the ICEO should eventually cover all parts of a micronational economy, and perhaps be like the macronational WTO.

The first item has already been done. I hope to implement the second idea by the end of August. The third idea is more open-ended. To implement the third idea, I will need the support of all involved micronations.
