I have been looking at this thread for quite awhile now and am curious as to why this closed down. It seemed to be popular for a time. and not a bad idea overall.

Microwiki is providing a service like it but has next to no entries... truly... what happened to this? or better yet what replaced it?

Nothing.  People just don't seem to be in a literary mood at the moment.  Some circum-raynor spin-off fiction would be good though.

Maybe the Big Babkhan Book of War Crimes? :p

But of course the overarching problem with recwarfare writing is that it so often by necessity features a one dimensional one character, either representing the author or a proxy with similar attributes, explaining in a rather turgid fashion to a  subordinate, usually nameless, the move that the player is making, in launching a full spread of torpedos at the blissfully unaware taskforce to authorising a fiendish missile strike on massed ground forces who have no means of retaliation.

Of course I'm sure a good story could be written with the Circum-Raynor War as the backdrop onto which the narrative is projected. My only niggle is if it is written in the same style as recwarring it could be pretty awful. ;)

well I'm sure people will have enough sense in the least not to do that.

A giant cut & paste version of the Circum-Raynor War does'nt sound like much of a story to me, as it is merely explaining tactics much rather then a plot.

indeed,

well after some time I may consider submitting some Kampongese literature, the problem is getting someone to deal with it.

what ever happened to Democratic leader? it may be wise simply to un-mod him especially since I've never seen him on. not even when I first sign up to Micronet...

Circum Reynor War spinoff, eh?

Well, Aster and I started writing Aftermath ages ago, but it never reached a conclusion. Neither did Dzez Miserables, but I hope Matbaic literature's latest work can be something a little better ;)

If any of you would like to help me write up an as yet untitled story, you're more than welcome.

Well, if you see my thread in Micronational Eye you'll see that I'm trying to rekindle a bit of interest, but no-one seems bothered.
