Editorial Policy

MNN regards all websites that publish periodically updated information about Micronations as potential sources, and does not distinguish between authors and publishers who:
# call themselves news organisations and those who do not;
# have explicit or implied biases;
# claim to be politically motivated, objective, independent or unbiased;
# publish articles reviewed or not reviewed by editors;
# publish articles which may be factual, speculative, educational, opinion or entertainment pieces.
 
MNN aims to aggregate sources that:
# write at least some original content;
# do not infringe the copyright of others;
# appear accurate and well-researched, well-written and as typo-free as possible;
# conform to a reasonable standard of the language in which they are written;
# do not contain excessive use of profanity;
# do not engage in the excessive promotion of goods and services within their editorial content;
# abide by the laws of the land - e.g. are not libellous, defamatory or otherwise litigious.
 
MNN reserves the right to decline to add a source if we judge that the effort involved in adding it would outweigh the benefits to the users of our services.
 
MNN currently reviews sources for suitability for inclusion on our website as a result of:
# a request by a website user;
# a request by a publisher;
# a need, that we determine our website users have;
# a request by a member of MNN.

Publications that are tabloids are required to provide a disclaimer in each article as to the inaccuracy inherent in their content.

MNN reserves the right to remove any source that its administration feels is in violation of editorial policy and to amend this editorial policy as required.
