To every person far and wide, micronationalist or curious lurker alike, greetings!

I would first like to thank the FNORD Awards Committee for asking me to be the Master of Ceremonies and host these, the most prestigious awards of the micronational sector.

This year has seen again changes and improvements to the format by which the awards were posted, nominated for and judged and I am happy to be a part of it. These awards represent the best examples of the people, efforts, projects and micronations which make up what is beyond a doubt, the most dynamic community in our online world.

We come together almost every day for a myriad of reasons, whether it is our desire to release a flourish of creativity, participate in the rousing cacaphony that can be the political scene, or establish the groundwork for projects and ideas which we hope will make a difference, an improvement or enhancement of this enjoyable endeavour. At times we have been frustrated, happy, dismayed and overjoyed, but at the end we will all walk away from our experiences here better for the interaction, better for the opportunities and better for the time spent.

Without further ado (and anymore of my hot air) let us be about the awards!

Odlum Award for Individual Achievement

Awarded to the micronationalist who has given the most to his/her micronation and the community at large throughout the course of his/her micronational participation (participant must have been in the community for longer than one year to qualify for nomination).

Primarily focuses around the adaptation of new technology/internet applications for improving the community, not theory concepts.

Congratulations to all the winners, every one most deserved in their honours.

Although not awards per se, I would like to extend thanks to those folks that work to make these annual FNORDS a reality, Mercurius (who I think makes those smashing awards) and the judging staff, who manage to find time between driving slaves, to slave-drive getting the worthwhile nominees sorted out and honoured accordingly. So let's not forget them.

Once again, congrats to all the winners, be proud of your achievements. For all those other nominees, your contributions deserve no less and everyone is commended for the energy and enthusiasm. Thanks!

King of Gotzborg

Congratulations to everyone! It seems odd not having to oppose any of these. :p

Congratulations to the winners, to the nominees, and to the judges for avoiding a riot.

Unfortunately, Shireroth's evil tree-god, Malarbor, disagrees with your choice for the journalism award. He has responded by creating his own, much better journalism award, and giving it to KZFO:

Well, I'm quite honoured. I was actually expecting to get sidelined for some of the more prominent micronationalists.

I thank everyone who nominated and voted for me.

Hopefully this shall not signal the climax of my micronational career, but instead be a highlight of many more productive years to come. :)

Truly, I am honored. I thank all the judges for this most wonderful and admittedly unexpected award. I would like to echo His Royal Majesty's sentiments thanking all the judges for their continuous hard work on the FNORDs. Like Ryan, I too hope that this past year was only the beginning of a long and enjoyable micronational career.

On behalf of His Majesty King Danny 1 and all the citizens of the Kingdom of Lovely, I, Kieran Collins, Minister of Foreign Affairs would like to thank the FNORD Judges and the Micronational Community as a whole for allowing us to become a part of this very different concept, and honouring us with such an award

Indeed our award and recognition from this sector has come at the perfect time. King Danny is currently on his honeymoon after his marriage yesterday in Australia.

God Save the King!

God Save Lovely!

'tis an honour to see Novaya Zemlya awarded for journalism. Despite it provoking obviously bitter reactions from certain KZFO/Lovely partisans, and probably being chosen to shut them up in the first place, I still feel it is very much deserved by my comrades who have put a massive but largely unnoticed effort into our Radio project as well as the State and Yellow press.

On behalf of Novaya Zemlya I wish to thank the FNORD judges for their very judicial choice of the humble talent for which we are so proud.

There are no flowers, no not this time. There will be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words I find.

Congrats, all!

My only complaint is that there weren't enough quality nominations. Odlum Award and Best New Micronationalist comes to mind, as well as the culture award, though to be frank, there really hasn't been much successful cultural endevours this year in the long run (None as successful as Treesia, for example.) Oh, and the fact that Scott couldn't get an award this year because he showed Microscope after the award ceremony. :p
