SMF doesn't have cash mods, shop mods, prison mods...

Wrong on all accounts. I trust you've never actually used SMF?
Riponia's has both a cash and shop mod, which was far easier to implement than it would ever have been on phpBB (even easier than easymod on phpBB), and 'prisons' don't even require a mod.
@Ryan: I can see the minor issues you're talking about, but i think that's just MNN rather than SMF forums as a whole. I've never had problems with Riponia's, for instance (although the forum banner is extended in 800*600, but that's my fault.)
[EDIT] Oh, and SMF is the best, followed by invision.
