Conservative: Because we've got nothing else

Thats right, i've come up with a conspiracy theory  Tongue. As you probably know British Airways got fined around $20 million (i think it was) and are now being sued by customers for a further £30 million. However, isn't it odd that no one noticed that the ticket prices had gone up by £100 for no apparent reason? Did it really take the FBI to work out that something wasn't quite right?

And now we come to my theory, British airways is one of the biggest transatlantic airlines and i believe this is why they are getting fined such massive sums of money for what wasn't really that major a thing (Virgin atlantic were doing the same thing and they only had to apologise!) So it seems to me that someone wants BA bankrupt, and who might want this you might ask? Thats right, it's those accursed yanks and europeans again!

If BA were to go bust then Heathrow would suffer dramatically with the only transatlantic flights left being with either Virgin Atlantic (who wouldn't be able to cope with the numbers of passenger without BA) or United Airlines: who are infact an American airline. So you might say they would do quite well out of the fines on BA causing them to go bankrupt. However still United Airlines don't have enough planes to carry all those people, meaning the British passengers would have to go to other international airports: such as Paris or Dusseldorf. So it seems that this continued pressure on British airlines which could break the company in the end is benafiting airlines such as Lufthansa and Air France as well: perhaps some of the pressure might infact be coming from the fair trade commission of the European Union who no doubt would love it if British people were forced to visit their European neighbours constantly.

Anyway, i've put it out there now  Tongue *ducks below table to hide from imminent onslaught*

What? BA going bust would be a lot less profitable for everyone. Millions of people would lose their jobs, Terminal Five would just be pointless.

I could go on; I'll leave that to Ben.

I hate flying mainly because my mind always runs away in situations and imagines the worst possible outcome... and even though there's a 1 in 11,000,000 chance of a disaster you always know that if there was you wouldn't get out.

BA is better than EasyJet...

I went on holiday a few weeks back and we were queuing for 2 hours just oget into the airport. Not to check in , just to have the privilege of entering the building.

Will, Easyjet don't run airports.

I'm sure there's a conspiracy theory that states that airlines do run the airports Wink

There's a conspiracy about EVERYTHING..

e.g. there's a conspiracy that america and australia don't exist... they were invented to make europe look good in finding stuff :p

but we all know that isn't a conspiracy really because it's true... you're all government agents!

If America doesn't exist, then what's this piece of land I am situated upon? Some east-Chinese island or extension of Japan? Tongue
