The purpose is to create a list of micronations who's primary language of communication is not english, so that English speaking micronations can look beyond the world of english speaking micronations.  Wink

this list is a pointless folly then if you are selective of people you add, rather than having a comprehensive reference.

I like the idea here - but perhaps you could group the nations by language. As the list gets bigger it would become increasingly hard to find a nation speaking a language one is conversant in.
Then it would be useful to also add nations which are multilingual - like trinovantium under the welsh category, so someone looking for a welsh speaking micronation would be able to find them (regardless of the fact that english is also somewhat used).
Also, just a little thing, it would be good to have the name of the language in that language - eg "Deutsch" rather than "German".

@Apiya: I think that this list is not meant to include conlangs - so it could be used to find a nation whose language is already known by the searcher. I would be pleasantly surprised to hear of someone who knew Apiyan without already knowing about Apiya.

Really? So what language is this:

Quote
The Assembly is the legislative chamber of discussion in Trinovantium . Every citizen is allowed their say in the chamber and is allowed to suggest legislature , scrutinise the Chancellor , cast Referendums , vote to impeach other citizens , delay and veto bills . The nation prides itself on the freedom the citizens are entitled to.

You are an english speaking micronation, I am trying to compile a list of non-english speaking micronations.

At Nonette:

Thanks for the suggestion, I will reorganize the list.

The forums are welsh, but in conversation citizens are obliged to speak English or Welsh, and in this instance English is used, i'm happy to use my rusty Welsh skills with a Welsh speaking citizen, but i've never come across one. Welsh is still a primary language of communication, and we are still a non-english speaking micronation.

Grow up.  The title is obvious.  English must not be one of the primary languages of communication.  When it's bilingual it is still primary.  And official language doesn't count either, or by that token the Swiss all speak Latin.

And Chancellor666777, you're now on a warning for a personal attack, and for invoking Godwin's Law.

Sorry, i've calmed down now, i just thought this list was getting a bit too exclusive. I thought Godwins law was Nazism rather than facism though? although i am aware of the obvious parallels before they are mentioned.
