Best Cities to Live in in the World-do you live in one of them? 1. (tie) Melbourne, Australia 1. Vancouver, Canada 3. Perth, Australia 4. (tie) Vienna, Austria 4. Toronto, Canada 4. Geneva, Switzerland 4. Zurich, Switzerland 8. (tie) Adelaide, Australia 8. Brisbane, Australia 8. Sydney,Australia 8. Copenhagen, Denmark 8. Dusseldorf, Germany 8. Frankfurt, Germany 8. Oslo, Norway 8. Montreal, Canada I'm Happy to see Toronto up there but with the recent surge in crime, traffic problems I tend to wonder why it’s up so high. Vancouver and Melbourne win every year. I'm just cuprous if your city is on the list how do you like living in it? Vancouver is a great place to visit as well. I know we have quite a few Australians here, so I'm sure be have some people here that are from Melbourne. If anyone is wondering heres a great shot of Melbourne and Here is Vancouver

Vancouver looks breathtaking, quite amusing to see a distinct lack of British cities

London should be there, simply for the multiculturalism and the diversity (in the sense that we have Camden, and other cities don't).

All the more reason to add us up there, as number one on the list. And don't forget sunny, sunny, Croydon - sixties architect's paradise.

Who put that list together? Must be someone who couldn't decide which they like best: kangaroos or cold weather. I'm rather partial to the major city nearest me: San Diego, California. I'm sure the Australian cities are lovely, but surely there must be some other place in the world with a decent climate to put on the list.

Best place to live according to the to some international agency. I don't think they take climate into to much consideration becuase its just not fair.

Who said life is fair? There are plenty of things that aren't "fair" that affect how nice a city is to live in. If Melbourne and Vancouver both get hit by asteroids this year, are they still entitled to be called the "best cities to live in" despite the fact that they have been turned into smoldering craters, just because such an astronomical accident isn't "fair"? Maybe Carthage should be included on the list: who knows how it might have turned out had the Romans not destroyed it in the Third Punic War, which doesn't seem very fair to me.

It's bad enough that Toronto made it to the list. If Calgary did, I'd have to consider this list a complete farce

Although right now many Canadians including my self wouldn’t mind living there because even the people that work at Tim Horton’s make a whopping 20$ an hour. Then again, with living costs in Calgary taken into affect it really does even out.

Preston, or Manchester, because of the new skyscrapers that are going up in both cities.
