PHPBank is a MySql-based national bank. Any problems, reply here or start a new topic. PHPBank was written by Sander Dieleman.

It's Dieleman Wink

Also, everyone should be aware that I wrote this many, many years ago, when I was a very inexperienced PHP programmer. That is why I would recommend against using it, unless there are no alternatives available.

I do not provide support for this application, so please do not email me about it. Thank you Smiley

I don't think he was referring to it failing as much as he was suggesting that it has security issues.  I do not write php, however, I started to learn it a while back and can recognize that the config.php file is not secure at all.  What I'm wondering is if there is anyway to add some security to this with a little bit of code or if that would complicate things.  If anyone here knows any PHP throw in your two cents.

Why not do a security code thing, such as what Wordpress use in V.2.3.1?

But security's not really an issue. No one would hack a bank, let alone a mere national one (except perhaps our good friends Mr Jacob and Mr Campbell), and even if they did edit config.php - if you kept a backup it's easy to re-upload through FTP. But I don't know all too much about the acutal coding - my experience with the web comes through trial and error (and that's a lot of error)

There are also other good php/mysql based banksystems, e.g. the royal bank of potopia.

or the "bsEcoSim" which is a complete economic simulation where you can build industries und sell goods.

For those of you who only speak English, I translated the bsEcoSim into English from German.
