sorry to say this Will, but Kerrang is inferior music journalism, but it's nice they're covering obscure Russian bills

Putin is politically ingenious. And what’s wrong with banning a Music culture that promotes the disvaluing of human life?

It's a suppression of freedom of expression. I don't read Kerrang - it's a trashy teen magazine which I don't like to get myself involved with (and with all the other things I read I just don't have time - and yes, this could be harmful to people. But I think education on the dangers of the genre of the music, or even the establishment of a new one to replace those they're going to ban, is the way to go, not casting a blanket ban over certain types of music (which will make them seem more appealing to young people)

What I said was not really my opinion mind you its merely the others side of the argument. I think its a bit of a breach of freedoms perhaps.

Maybe Putin is a closet emo and, like Tomsett says, he's banning it to encourage more people to join his secret cause.

That music is crap anyway, as long as blues and rock and roll exist; we're all safe.

Some Soviet music is good (sadly I have a few tracks on my iPod).

Of course Ardashir... now let the men in the white coats inject you with some "Shah's Own Happy Juice" to make all these people go away.

Common! Putin is incredible! He's like a living James Bond villain:

- Ex-KGB Colonel
- Flies a MiG
- Martial Arts Expert
- Resigned as President and made himself Prime Minister just because he can
- Unilaterally invades Georgia on a whim
- Makes fun of the Israeli PM's sexual indiscretions on international news
- Could beat the living sugar out of Bush with an arm behind his back
- Probably smokes cigarettes in darkened rooms
- Held Ukraine hostage by cutting off their energy
- Took away that stupid Federal anthem Yeltsin wanted and put back the old Soviet anthem with new lyrics.
- Re-established the FSB/SVR systems to mimic the KGB (or as I call it; "How Russia got its groove back")
- Silenced the media and made most of Russia his personal possession
- Pissed off the Chinese by crashing their olympic grand opening.

I just wish he had an eye patch.
